Whether you dream of sailing further afield, chartering larger vessels or exploring inter-island routes, the PER is your qualification. It is the most versatile qualification and the favourite of those who want to make the sea an important part of their lives.

Course content and requirements

PER Theory

  • Safety and risk prevention.
  • Advanced RIPA.
  • Coastal and coastal navigation.
  • Cartography and defeats.
  • Meteorology and wind systems.
  • Communications and basic electronics.

Requirements

  • Have 18 years.
  • Pass the official theory test.
  • Carry out engine and radio practice.
  • Nautical medical certificate.

Compulsory internship (engine)

  • Advanced manoeuvres in port.
  • Control of the boat at different speeds.
  • Steering, courses and actual navigation.
  • Man overboard manoeuvre.
  • Anchoring in different scenarios.

Radio internships

  • Use of VHF.
  • Proper communications in ports and emergencies.
  • Actual procedures in distress situations.

Optional qualifications

Sailing and Balearic Islands. Extends the length to 24 metres. 

Do I need the GNP before the PER?

No, the PER can be done directly.

Can I add the clearances at a later date?

Yes, you can do it whenever you want.

Is it difficult to pass the PER?

With good preparation and our real-life practices, most students pass on the first try.
